These images can be previewed, edited, saved, and shared to other applications. For example, I have the default set to single-side on documents but often have to change to double-side. I have to cancel the scan, update the settings, and restart the scan. It would make more sense to set it up before the scan begins. This app stalls at every point, which makes scanning just one page, take over 5 minutes.
The HP Scan that comes bundled with suites of apps, including the drivers works without stalling. Also, the driver that comes with this app does not find and remembers the All-in-One printer. Which made me continuously reestablish connection. The connection, no longer needs, to continuously, be reestablished.
Why do I need one program to print wirelessly, one to manage my queue, and image capture app download completely different one to utilize the scan function? I downloaded this program as a replacement for "HP Scan" after I upgraded to windows I use the program to scan multi-page documents for work. I really can't recommend this program with issues with this. Even when I give it the IP address of the printer it is not able to scan. I scan a document using our document feeder. Often the document is out of order. It doesn't auto crop, it doesn't scan multiple images and multiple files, and you need to rename every single photo before saving them.
Basically no standard features. I have an HP Officejet Tried to scan a document. The printer reacted and sounded like it was scanning, but then it said scan failed, general error. Downloaded the regular software and it worked just fine, and provides more options. I can quickly and easily scan either photos or documents to my computer, preview the scans, and save, image capture app download. It's really easy and it just works.
