I am just posting this to vent my frustration, and wondering if I'm paranoid or others have had this same problem.
I jumped on this, because I knew it was a fantastic deal. I received my serial number and download link, and installed it on my computer. A few months later, I got a new computer. I contacted VCOM and asked them how to transfer my program to my new computer. I did as they instructed me and I have used PowerDesk on this computer daily. A few days ago, I sent an email to VCOM asking them to send me an email if they ever put PowerDesk on sale again, as I would like to put it on another computer.
Today, I have used PowerDesk all day. About an hour ago, I tried to open it, and I got a message saying my serial number was already power desk 9 professional version 9.0.2.3 download use, and I could no longer use my program! I knew the serial number was only valid for one computer, and I know it would be useless to try to install it on another computer.
It would have been foolish of me to try to use the same serial number on additional computers. Other than contacting them, I did nothing different than what I have done every day.
Personally, I'm wondering if they realized how much I use PowerDesk, and are trying to get more money out of me. PowerDesk is one of the best programs I've ever used, but if this is the way they treat their customers, I can get along without it. Has anyone else had the same trouble? Site Feedback.
