I just want to play Sky Factory with my friends because suddenly every good modpack uses this crappy twitch app, but it just doesn't want to install the damn game first. Every time it say it has an installation error because some dumb special character it in the file name of something, and this happens when I change the damn install location too!!
Wtf do I do, I already re-installed once now. You can typically easily solve this by installing to straight to the C drive or main drive. Same problem just the screen flashing back to install, changing the file path to the C drive solved it for me.
It says Your missing a few things. Downloaded minecraft from the official site and moved the directory to where the twitch launcher wanted it. Everything works now. Twitch minecraft mods not downloading not seeing that and when I hit "open file location" I just get where the launcher is.

Currently suffering the same problem. This shit is broken. Tried on a Mac and PC. Doesn't work. I'm just using MultiMC now. Worked right out of the box.
